Employer Recruitment Services
Overview
The BCC Career Center takes pride in forming active partnerships with business and industry by matching workforce needs with the skills and abilities of our students. To achieve this goal, we offer employers a variety of options to meet our students and recruit talent from a wide range of programs and disciplines. For example, employers may list jobs, participate in job fairs and/or develop customized, flexible recruitment plans, free of charge. The following provides a summary of our services.
Job Listing Services
Employers may post full-time, part-time, temporary, summer, and seasonal job opportunities for BCC students and alumni, free of charge. Please be advised that we do not conduct background checks on students, nor do we establish the credentials and overall fit between the employer and the student applicant. Employers and individuals offering employment/entrepreneurial opportunities with compensation packages requiring commission only or requiring prospective employees to purchase a franchise, products or services upfront, or where compensation is based exclusively on commission or fees/percentage of sales from others under their sponsorship in the organization, will not be offered recruiting privileges.
We reserve the right to refuse to post jobs that do not support the "interests" of the College.
To post a job with us, please download our Job Listing Form. For assistance, or for more information, contact Jeff Craig in the Job Placement Office at jeffrey.craig@bristolcc.edu or call 508.678.2811, ext. 2594.
Job Fairs
We offer three job fairs per academic year, one of which targets the health technologies sector. In addition, the College holds a Human Services Opportunity Fair each spring, which is coordinated by the Human Services program. These events offer employers a great way to meet a large number of potential candidates, including entry-level and seasoned professionals who are seeking part-time, full-time, summer, seasonal employment, and internship opportunities. To ensure the highest possible turnout, the Career Center implements a comprehensive marketing effort.
Our job fairs are open to current BCC students and alumni.
Due to limited space, we must consider and select organizations that represent a cross-section of industries, as well as those that our current students indicate a preference for through surveys and feedback from previous events. For more information, or to obtain a schedule of upcoming fairs, please call the Job Placement Office at (508) 678-2811, ext. 2594.
Recruitment Days
In addition to our Job Fairs, employers may set up display tables in the Commonwealth College Center Lobby. In an effort to provide a fulfilling experience for students from all programs, reservations are prioritized so as to encourage representation from a variety of industries. Visits are announced via campus-wide marketing efforts so we require a minimum of three weeks’ notice. For more information, please contact the Job Placement Office at 508.678.2811, ext. 2594.
