Workshop Descriptions
Toolkit 101: Toolkit Course Design
The Toolkit 101 Workshop introduces participants to the Toolkits by going over the basics of accessing a Toolkit, highlighting important features, and practicing using the various tools in creating, redesigning, or augmenting a course.
This workshop is designed to assist instructors in better understanding what a course Toolkit can do for them. After adding a Toolkit to their eLearning home page, participants will identify and discuss key some components they identify as well as interact with some of the key features.
We will also practice using the Outcomes Matrices to develop lessons, aligning learning objectives with instructional activities, assessments, and resources. Participants are encouraged to share their lesson ideas with the group.
iPad 101: The iPad as a Learning and Instructional Tool
Each session of ‘iPad 101’ will cover basically the same content, dedicating the first 30 minutes to helping novice users learn about the iPad basics and focusing an hour on how instructors might incorporate the iPad into their curriculum by using the device as an instructional, presentation, and creation tool.
iTunes U: Creating and Sharing Digital Instructional Content
The iTunes U workshops will be for more advanced iPad users who are ready to produce content to upload to iTunes U. The workshop will focus on how to produce instructional content using Apple software with the iPad and the MacBook Pro.
