Q: What does it cost?
There is no cost.

Q: Can I save money by being in Tech Prep?
The cost of each three credit course at BCC is currently $369.00. By taking six courses through Continuing Education, you save approximately $2,214.00. By completing specific high school courses with the required grades, you can earn additional credits worth approximately $600.00. You also save time through Tech Prep.

Other technical schools offer articulated credit for tuition breaks as well.

Q:How many free courses can I take through BCC Continuing Education while I'm in high school?
If your shop has an agreement with BCC, you may take a total of six college courses while you're still in high school, one each semester of your Junior and Senior years and two during the summer between your Junior and Senior years. The only charge is for books.

Q: Do I have to apply to Bristol Community College?

Yes, even though you are a Tech Prep student, you must apply to any school which you wish to attend. Check off the Tech Prep box on the BCC application if you apply there.

Q: How do I join Tech Prep?

Qualified students complete a Tech Prep registration form and maintain a B or C average. Math and Science courses required for your course of study must be completed with at least a C average. See your guidence counselor at your high school.
